Architecture Asia Awards for Emerging Architects (AAEA) aims to recognise and promote the best works of emerging architects in Asia, to provide a platform for discourse on emerging architecture in Asia, and to establish a contemporary reference for Asian architecture.
From 2014-2019, the Architecture Asia Awards for Emerging Architects was organised by Architecture Asia Magazine under the auspices of Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) and Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA), in association with the Malaysian Institute of Architects’ annual Datum: KL International Architectural Design Conference. More information about the 2019 cycle of the award can be found at http://emergingarchitectsasia.co/
In 2020, the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) handed over the role of the Publisher of Architecture ASIA Magazine to the Architectural Society of China (ASC). More information about the transition plan can be found here. The Architecture ASIA Award for Emerging Architects is on hiatus until further notice.
