Q3: Should the 1-min video be precisely 1 min, or maximum or minimum 1 min?

A3: It should be MAXIMUM 1 min.

Q4: Is there a limit to the age of the participants?

A4: There is no age limit to participate in the awards. However, please note that only registered architects or firms can participate.

Q5: Should the submitted ‘Documentation Drawings’ be construction drawings? What is the level of drawings you require?

A5: AAA is a design award, so architectural design drawings will be enough. There is no need to submit construction drawings.

Q6: Do you accept registration certificate in other languages?

A6: The copy of the original certificate can be in any language, but we also need a translated document in English. When submitting, please combine them in one single PDF file.

Q7: For the ‘Architectural Design Report’ part, is it mandatory to upload images in each section?

A7: No. The submission of the image for the Design Report is OPTIONAL.

Q8: Regarding the eligibility, it states that “Registered Architects or Architectural firms from any ARCASIA member country for projects anywhere in the world.”. Suppose our company is a corporate member of ARCASIA institute. Is all of our architect applicable to apply for the projects located anywhere in the world? Or we need to have the architect be a member of ARCASIA institutes?

A8: The registration of architects and architectural practices vary in each country. In some countries, registered architects may not be members of an ARCASIA Institute.

Applicants DO NOT need to be a member of an ARCASIA institute as long as they are legally registered to practice architecture in their own country. But only members of ARCASIA institutes receive a discount in the application fee.

If the company is a registered practice in any of the 21 countries/regions of ARCASIA, they may enter their projects from outside of the ARCASIA region for the award. The award will be credited to the firm. Architects who are not registered shall not receive the award.

Q9:Can I directly apply for the special awards of Socially Responsible Architecture and Sustainability?

A9: No, you cannot. We encourage all projects to address sustainability and social responsibility criteria through good architecture. The jury will select the special awards from ALL submissions during the review. You can provide relevant information regarding these two awards in the registration form. The jury will review and make their decision.

Q10: When filling the registration form, there are some input fields that I have no information to provide. But I was rejected by the system when I proceeded to payment. Do I have to fill out all fields?

A10: If you have no information to put in certain input boxes, please type in ‘N/A’ to pass by the system. But please note that by not providing certain information, you are doing so at your own risk.

Q11: I found that for some input fields, the limit of words does not match as it was stated. What should I do?

A11: Due to the limitation of the portal system, the limit of the input field cannot be defined by word but by character only. We have asked the website designer to extend the limit. But please do adjust your draft when filling the form online.
